What Lumo Post is
A calm news reader for iPhone, iPad and Mac. It gathers the publications you choose, together with Telegram channels, YouTube channels, Bluesky and Mastodon accounts, long-form magazines and podcasts, into one quiet feed. Everything runs on your device.
Nothing appears in my feed
Check that you have added at least one source, and that the device is online. Pull down on the list, or use the refresh control, to fetch again. Some publications update only once or twice a day.
A source shows an error
Some publications restrict access from certain countries, or change the address of their feed. Open the source in your browser to see whether it still works. If a feed from our catalogue has gone permanently dead, please write to us and we will correct the catalogue.
Adding a source that is not in the catalogue
Paste the address into the field for adding a source. The application recognises website feeds, Telegram channels, YouTube channels, Bluesky and Mastodon accounts, and podcast feeds by the address itself.
Topic folders and the daily selection
Articles are sorted into folders on your device, by a model built into the application. Sorting begins after the first articles arrive and takes a few moments. Posts from channels and social accounts stay in their own sections and are not sorted into topic folders.
My devices show different things
Subscriptions and reading state travel between your devices through your own iCloud account. Make sure all devices are signed into the same Apple Account and connected to the internet. Synchronisation is silent and takes up to about a minute.
Purchases
Purchases and subscriptions are managed by Apple. To restore a purchase on a new device, open the application settings and choose to restore purchases, while signed into the same Apple Account used for the original purchase. Subscriptions are cancelled in the App Store settings of your device, not in the application.
Removing your data
Deleting the application removes everything it stored on that device. To remove the synchronised copy as well, delete the application's data for Lumo Post in the iCloud section of your system settings.
